My name is Else de Ridder, and early 2019 I founded MINT zorgadvies with the goal to make healthcare in the Netherlands more sustainable. After a successful graduation at the Delft University of Technology (2018) in collaboration with a hospital, I wanted to pursue my passion for this subject. Sustainability also plays a large role in my personal life. To combine this with healthcare, is something I'm very enthusiastic about.
During my research I found out that hospitals have a strong desire to become more sustainable, but are unsure where to start. For example, a lot of waste is created, which irritates a lot of healthcare professionals. MINT zorgadvies guides healthcare institutions with making such processes more sustainable, form start to finish. This could for example entail recycling the waste in the preparation room of the OR. I form a multidisciplinary team within the hospital, analyse the current situation with the calculation tool I developed, and give my advise for a more sustainable process. I also provide guidance with the implementation of the advice and perform a check after the advice has been implemented, in order to provide a full service. My advice is specific and unique for every customer. That's how, together, we make healthcare more sustainable!
